But tired of land, we open ourselves to oceans, tired of time we give back all that we've taken, tired of ourselves we open ourselves to ourselves at last, sensing the waves and great abyss of the sea beyond, the ocean stretching on sand and the long view on the still sea that leads to another life.

I want to know if you are prepared to live in the world with its' harsh need to change you. If you can look back with firm eyes saying this is where I stand. I want to know if you know how to melt into that fierce heat of living fully toward the center of your longing.

Easter Morning in Wales - David Whyte

A garden inside me, unknown, secret, neglected for years, the layers of its soil deep and thick. Trees in the corner with branching arms and the tangled briars like broken nets. Sunrise through the misted orchard, morning sun turns silver on the pointed twigs. I have woken from the sleep of ages and I am not sure if I am really seeing, or dreaming, or simply astonished walking toward sunrise to have stumbled into the garden where the stone was rolled from the tomb of longing.
