Their god
a broken child
become a breaking man
clung to the cloak of power
and called forth violent worship-
flags, guns, crosses, noose

While others,
in humbling wisdom,
surrendered
before the naked infinite One
this shocking, vulnerable love-
gold, frankincense, myrrh, self
